Why do memory cards become faulty?
The two main causes are if the battery is your camera running low, and while the camera is saving the picture the battery runs out, this can cause file corruption.  Another cause is sometimes reading the memory card in an incompatible memory card reader on a computer can wipe the card.

What type of memory cards can you recover?
We can recover images from any type of memory card, mobile phone or digital camera/camcorder memory.

I get error messages when I try and load my memory card using my card reader, can card recovery help?
Yes, believe it or not, this is actually good news for getting your photos recovered, it means your memory card is being read and there is a good chance of recovery.  If your getting no error message and the removable drive won’t load when click on it, there is a chance the actual memory chip is faulty; we would always recommend to send the card to us regardless.  Nothing to loose, no recovery, no charge.

Can you recover images from a USB drive ?
Yes we can recover images/videos from USB flash drives.

Can you recover images from internal memory on a camera?
Yes we can recover photos from the internal memory, providing no other pictures  have been taken since, please email us info@cardrecovery.co.uk

I have lost videos on my memory card, can these be recovered?
Yes these can be recovered.

I have formatted my memory card, can I still get them recovered?
We would recommend not to format your memory card, however there is always still a chance the pictures can be recovered, it is always worth sending us the memory card, regardless if we are able to recover them or not, no recover no fee.

Are there any memory cards or USB drives that can’t be recovered?
If the memory card or the USB drive has developed a hardware fault; these can not be recovered.  If you wish you can check this before you
send the card to us, if you connect your camera via the USB cable and the memory card drive folder does not appear in “My Computer” it is highly unlikely we will be able to recover any images/videos, if your using a card reader the same principle will apply.

How do I pay for my recovered images?
Before we post the CD/DVD back with the recovered images, we will email you a set of thumbnails of the recovered pictures, along with a request for payment, we can accept payment via Paypal (payment via credit card and debit card) or Cheque / Cash.  Send no money with your memory card.  Cheques should be made payable to Mark King.

Are all the pictures fully recovered?
As part of our quailty check, we view each photo to make sure the recovery process has worked correctly.

What are the postage costs?

Standard normal postage (2-4 days) : FREE
Tracked service – Royal Mail recorded delivery (1-2 days) : add £1.50
Tracked service -Royal Mail special delivery (next day delivery) : add £6
(simply add the cost to your total quoted)
We recommend choosing recorded delivery or special delivery as these can be traced for your piece of mind.
